Set up or turn off biometric sign-in
Who and before: Signed-in customers on a supported native device with a device lock and enrolled biometrics. Ordinary browsers may not offer it.
Start: A biometric enrollment invitation after sign-in, or Profile > Login & Security > Manage Security.
Steps:
1. Read the device-specific invitation and enable biometric sign-in if you want it; otherwise decline.
2. Complete the operating system's biometric prompt. Do not treat the switch alone as completed enrollment.
3. At a later sign-in, choose Sign in with the displayed biometric type and complete the device prompt.
4. To disable it, open Manage Security and turn off biometric sign-in, following the confirmation shown.
Result and check: Setup reports success and the supported sign-in action becomes usable.
Limits and recovery: If unavailable, cancelled or unsuccessful, use your normal sign-in method. Support cannot collect biometric data or bypass the device prompt. Ordinary logout and disabling biometric enrollment are different actions. Diagnostic controls are not customer recovery requirements.
