We collect the following types of information:

• Personal Information: Name, email address, phone number, and payment details
• Account Information: Profile photos, bio, verification documents
• Usage Data: Browsing history, search queries, booking history
• Location Data: With your permission, precise GPS location for nearby listings and search results. We also collect IP-based approximate location for general service functionality.
• Communication: Messages between users, support requests
• Photos and Camera: With your permission, photos taken with your camera or selected from your photo library for listing images and profile pictures. Photos may be compressed and optimized before upload.
• Push Notification Tokens: With your permission, device tokens for delivering push notifications about bookings, messages, and account activity.
• Purchase Information: In-app purchase history and subscription status for managing boost and featured store purchases.

Biometric Authentication: If you enable Face ID or Touch ID login, biometric authentication is processed entirely on your device by the operating system. We do not receive, store, or have access to your biometric data.

Your information is used to:

• Facilitate rental transactions between users
• Process payments and manage escrow
• Verify user identity (KYC compliance)
• Provide customer support
• Send important notifications about bookings and account activity
• Improve platform security and prevent fraud
• Comply with legal obligations
• Moderate listing content for quality and safety using automated tools
• Deliver push notifications you have opted into
• Process in-app purchases and manage subscription status

We share your data with:

• Payment Providers: Stripe, PayPal for payment processing
• In-App Purchase Management: RevenueCat for managing in-app purchases and subscriptions. RevenueCat receives your anonymous app user ID and purchase transaction data to validate and manage your subscriptions. RevenueCat does not receive your name, email, or other personal information.
• Push Notifications: Apple Push Notification Service (APNs) and Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) for delivering push notifications. These services receive your device token and notification content.
• Email Service: Resend for delivering transactional emails such as booking confirmations, verification codes, and account notifications.
• SMS Verification: Twilio for sending SMS verification codes during phone number verification. Twilio receives your phone number for this purpose.
• Content Moderation: OpenAI for automated content moderation and listing quality analysis. Listing text and images may be analyzed to detect policy violations and ensure platform safety. No personal user information is sent to OpenAI.
• Verification Services: Third-party KYC/verification providers
• Protection Partners: Where applicable for Life4Rent Protect coverage
• Legal Authorities: When required by law

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

You have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of your personal data
• Rectification: Correct inaccurate information
• Erasure: Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
• Data Portability: Export your data in a machine-readable format
• Withdraw Consent: Opt-out of marketing communications
• Object: Object to processing for specific purposes

From time to time we may send you marketing emails about new features, promotional offers, listing tips, credits you have not yet used, and other platform updates. We rely on your consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)), or where applicable on our legitimate interest in keeping you informed about products and services similar to those you have already used (Article 6(1)(f)).

Your Choices: You can opt out of all marketing communications at any time in two ways: (1) click the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any marketing email; or (2) go to your Profile and open Notification Settings, where you can turn off each category of marketing email individually (Marketing & Tips, Promotions, Price Drops, Broadcasts, Review Invitations, and more). Transactional messages — such as booking confirmations, payment receipts, verification codes, and security alerts — will continue to be sent because they are necessary to deliver the service you requested.

Frequency: To avoid sending too many emails, our system applies an automatic cap of at most two marketing-related emails per user in any rolling 30-day period.

Right to Object: Under GDPR Article 21, you have an absolute right to object to the use of your personal data for direct marketing. Once you object — either by using the unsubscribe link, turning off the toggle, or emailing privacy@life4rent.com — we will stop sending you marketing communications without requiring any further justification.

Booking and payment history and some security records are retained and may still be linked to your former account. A record of the deletion, including your reasons and feedback, is retained.

To delete your account, open Profile, then Account Management, and choose Delete Account. This cannot be undone.

• Your name, email, phone number and address are cleared from your profile.
• Listings are deleted or have key details cleared. Listing records linked to bookings remain.
• Your marketplace messages and favourites are deleted.
• Reviews and ratings you wrote are deleted.
• Your referral credit balance is cleared.

Save any records you need and check ongoing bookings, refunds and payouts first. Deleting your account does not settle them.

A confirmation email is requested after deletion, but delivery is not guaranteed.

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption, secure servers, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials.

Our website uses essential cookies for authentication and session management. With your consent via our cookie banner, optional cookies may be used for analytics (Google Analytics) to help us improve the platform. Mobile App (iOS and Android):

Our native mobile applications do not use cookies or web-based tracking scripts (Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, and Google Ads are completely disabled on native mobile platforms). The mobile app uses Firebase Analytics for internal usage analytics and AppsFlyer SDK for mobile attribution, which helps us measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns. On iOS, the app requests your permission via the App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework before collecting the Apple Advertising Identifier (IDFA). No cross-app tracking occurs without your explicit consent. On Android, the Google Advertising ID may be collected for attribution purposes. You can opt out of personalised ads in your device settings at any time. Essential first-party data is also collected for account authentication, service functionality, push notifications, and in-app purchases.

Your data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your jurisdiction, including Estonia (EU). We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for cross-border transfers in compliance with GDPR.

Life4Rent is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we become aware of such collection, the data will be promptly deleted.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or prominent notice on the platform. Continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
