Buy during or after an eligible rental
Rental payment release depends on the booking's completion, payment status and unresolved issues; a return QR scan does not itself guarantee immediate release. For a direct purchase, the buyer inspects the item before confirming receipt by QR, which initiates seller-payout processing immediately, subject to funding, payment-provider and legal checks. No rental-protection reporting period creates a new waiting period for that purchase. Rental-to-purchase conversions follow their own confirmed conversion and settlement process. Release, payout processing and arrival in a bank account are separate steps.
Who and before: The renter of a booking with an offered Rent-to-Buy or mid-rental purchase control.
Start: Booking details > the purchase/conversion card.
Steps:
1. Read the saved sale terms and the current credit/conversion quote. Check rental credit, remaining amount and currency.
2. Choose Buy Now/the purchase action, review the dialog, then confirm the displayed Pay amount only when ready.
3. Follow any required payment and check the booking and purchase records afterward.
4. If Not Buying is offered, open it and choose Keep Option Open or confirm Decline Purchase deliberately.
Result and check: Conversion or decline is recorded; a pending payment is not completed ownership.
Limits and recovery: Rent paid does not automatically equal cash credit, and not every rental offers conversion. Do not assume current listing credit percentages rewrite the booking. If the card is missing, conditions may not qualify. An uncertain conversion must be checked before another payment or direct sale is attempted.
