What item ratings mean compared with rental reviews

An item rating shares knowledge of the product or item to help renters; a completed rental is not required. Give an honest star rating and explain what you know about the product rather than pretending to have rented it. Read the guidance before submitting. Item ratings are not necessarily based on rental experience and must not be treated as reviews of an owner or renter. Rental experience reviews are found on users' public profiles under reviews as owner or as renter.

Frequently asked questions

Item ratings allow users to share product knowledge regardless of whether they have rented the specific item. These ratings reflect your opinion of the product itself and are separate from rental experience reviews, which evaluate the owner or renter. Always provide honest feedback based on your actual knowledge.
