Inspect and confirm a direct-sale handover

Rental payment release depends on the booking's completion, payment status and unresolved issues; a return QR scan does not itself guarantee immediate release. For a direct purchase, the buyer inspects the item before confirming receipt by QR, which initiates seller-payout processing immediately, subject to funding, payment-provider and legal checks. No rental-protection reporting period creates a new waiting period for that purchase. Rental-to-purchase conversions follow their own confirmed conversion and settlement process. Release, payout processing and arrival in a bank account are separate steps.

Who and before: The buyer and seller of an eligible paid sale at the real handover.
Start: My Activity > Purchases > Bought and sold items > View handover.
Steps:
1. Buyer: inspect the actual item and check that it matches the sale before confirming the inspection checkbox.
2. Choose Reveal handover code only when ready to confirm receipt. Show the code to the seller in person.
3. Seller: choose Scan buyer's QR, or enter the Manual code, then Confirm handover.
4. Both parties reopen the sale and check the handover/release status.
Result and check: Confirmed receipt initiates seller fund release, subject to applicable provider/legal/tax holds and processing.
Limits and recovery: There is no newly promised post-receipt condition-dispute waiting window. Do not reveal the code before inspection or treat a code screenshot as confirmed receipt. This does not waive statutory rights. If inspection fails, stop and seek support rather than confirming a false handover. A release request is not proof the money reached the seller's bank.
