Checking suitability of baby and children's items

For baby or children's equipment, check the exact model, age and size suitability, condition, instructions and all required parts. Check relevant recalls and safety requirements, and ask the owner to clarify the item's history where important. Do not use an item if its safety or suitability is uncertain. A listing, review or verification badge is not a safety certification for a child.
