Renting mobility equipment for recovery?

If you have had surgery or an injury and needed a wheelchair or knee scooter for a few weeks, would you rent one? Seems like buying is a waste for something temporary.

Had ankle surgery and looked into buying a knee scooter. For six weeks of use? Renting makes way more sense
